Eco friendly desk products

Possibly the most popular promotional item for a number of reasons. Most are light and easy to distribute. They are products which are useful and therefore retention rate is high and finally they sit on the desk – ie a work environment with the brand in view. So how to make the desk product eco-friendly – on the site you will find

· Notebooks – look for notebooks where the paper is either recycled or FSC certified. The choice of cover can range from recycled card, recycled leather covers to our favourite the Apple Peel cover which uses the bi product of the cider industry. Avoid the items which have PU covers this is a plastic which cannot be recycled.

· Pens – almost by definition there are parts of a ball point pen which cannot be recycled because they are by necessity a mixture of materials. However it is possible to reduce the amount of virgin plastics by using either recycled plastics, biodegradable elements including sugar cane and wheat straw as well as the wooden barrel pens. The alternative of course is the far more environmentally friendly pencil!

· Novelty – finally there are various novelty items including desk tidies and giant paper clips made from recycled plastic
